Different Timber related Products

Hi, i am Abhishek and today i'll be sharing some information about some of the different byproducts of the timber industry.

1. Plywood

 Plywood is a sheet material manufactured from thin layers or “plies” of wood veneer that are glued together with adjacent layers having their wood grain rotated up to 90 degrees to one another. It is an engineered wood from the family of manufactured boards which includes medium-density fibreboard (MDF) and particle board (chipboard).

Wooden Paneling is single piece of material, usually flat and cut into a rectangular shape, that serves as the visible and exposed covering for a wall. Wall panels are functional as well as decorative, providing insulation and soundproofing, combined with uniformity of appearance, along with some measure of durability or ease of replace ability.

Hi, i am Abhishek, today i'll be sharing my in depth knowledge about Sal wood timber category. Firstly, i would like to start with a brief information about what basically Sal wood is. Sal Wood, scientifically known as Shorea Robusta,  is one of the most important sources of  hardwood  timber in India, with hard, coarse-grained wood that is light in colour when freshly cut, but becomes dark brown with exposure. The wood is very durable, and is sought-after for construction, although not well suited to planing and polishing.
